My full name is Jackie Lea Lammers. I grew up on a farm in Sloan, Iowa. I have one brother and we were both adopted by my parents when we were babies. I graduated Jackie Yanak from Westwood High School in 1994. In high school, I was involved in football cheerleading, wrestling cheerleading, golf, and band, where I played the flute. I was a member of the Rebelaires swing choir. I took piano lessons for 13 years. I attended college at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska after graduating. I was involved in the sorority, Lambda Phi Omega, while in college, as well as honorary sorority, Alpha Lambda Delta. I enjoyed intramurals while at college. I graduated from Wayne State College in 1999 with degrees in K-8 elementary education and K-12 Special Education. I was hired by Kingsley-Pierson in March of 1999 for a middle school special education position and started in the fall of 1999. I taught in that position for 2 years and then transferred to a high school special education position, which I served in for 4 years. I then transferred to a middle school reading position in 2004, and served in that position until 2013. In 2014, I taught a section of 5th grade. Now I am back to teaching 6-8 language arts and one section of 8th grade mathematics (Pre-Algebra). I also sponsor all of the junior high cheerleading squads at K-P. I love every minute of it. During my teaching at Kingsley-Pierson, I also completed my middle school endorsement and reading endorsement. My favorite subjects to teach are reading and science. I share my home with my wonderful husband, Travis, who works for Koch's Automotive. We are a great team, and work together to raise our three children Trenton, Jessen, and Little Miss Janie Rose. We love to camp, go boating, fishing and do anything outdoors. My passion is photography and scrapbooking. I collect stuffed lambs and love Garfield. I love what I do and will strive to be a good role model for you this year and for years to come. I love to laugh and have fun, so I hope you do, too. Like the poster in my classroom says: Dear Students, I believe in you, I trust in you, You are listened to, You are cared for, You are important, You will succeed. Love, Mrs. Lammers
